Processing a Scene
CSI Explorers learn the basic principles behind processing crime scenes. Explorers are trained how to investigate scenes and how to collect and analyze the evidence.
Using Real Equipment
Explorers learn how to use equipment in the LVMPD Crime Lab to perform tests on items found at a crime scene including fingerprints, hair, tissue, and blood samples.
Ride Alongs
During ride alongs with LVMPD Crime Scene Analysts, CSI Explorers respond to actual crime scenes throughout the Las Vegas valley and see exactly how they're processed.
Education is Required
Because there is an education requirement to become a Crime Scene Analyst, Explorers must be currently enrolled in either high school or college.
